Tokyo is incredibly lit up everywhere, but some places even more so. On my way to the Kabuki Theater, which was an amazing two hours, fifteen minutes... that being only act 6 and 7, of a full day for those with the stamina (I could do it with the timely application of coffee and beer and a proper seat. I was in the SRO section)... on my way there I stopped in Electric City. Streets and buildings ablaze in neon and LED's, rabbit warrens of shops filled with electronics, anime, manga, hentai, figurines, people everywhere... yet another other worldly experience. That's the thing about this trip. It has all been such a high contrast experience... one day on a mountain with a shinto shrine, the next in the incredibly paced city with maximum stimuli.
An hour before this picture I was in the Tokyo Edo Museum, looking at displays of daily life in the city two centuries ago. I love scale models so this was the museum for me.
